I am so thankful that The Lord looks at us through eyes of grace. He sees every single part of our lives, even our thoughts and He still loves us!
No detail is hidden. He is intimately aware of all our flaws. Through His eyes of grace, He sees us as His children covered in His clothes of salvation.
Isaiah 61:10(NLT)
I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness. I am like a bridegroom dressed for his wedding or a bride with her jewels.
We on the other hand, tend to look at ourselves quite differently. We evaluate how we perform, or how 'good' we are, or how miserably we fail. All of that thinking is basically quite useless, especially when you realize that performance has nothing to do with salvation and His Holy standard. Because our performance will never be good enough.
Romans 3:23-24(NLT)
23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. 24 Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.
The world will beat you down when you don't perform well. Jesus won't ever beat you down, He lifts you up! His love for you is unfailing and isn't based on performance. All we have to do is receive it. Let it envelope you and saturate every part of your being.
Psalms 36:7(NIV)
How priceless is your unfailing love, O God!
People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.
As we receive beautiful love from God and realize how much grace he gives us, we can find it easier to extend that grace to ourselves and to others.
Let others see the grace of Jesus in your eyes.
