Sunday Drive - Being Transformed

Sunday Drive - Being Transformed

The Lord is light. He lights the steps of our journey. When we find ourselves in darkness, He illuminates the path to His light. During this journey He is transforming us into His image.

2 Corinthians 3:18(NLT)
18 And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate[a] the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

2 Samuel 22:29(NLT)
29 O Lord, you are my lamp. The Lord lights up my darkness.

He knows all that we are capable of being. He wants us to become all that He created us to be, that's the whole purpose of life. In His brilliance, where there is no darkness whatsoever, this is where we can see areas in our life that need change.

1 John 1:5(NLT)
5 This is the message we heard from Jesus[a] and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.

The gentle Holy Spirit puts a spotlight on that area of sin. We then have a choice to make. Do we move out of the spotlight, and deny that we could possibly have sin? Or do we move closer to the light, drink in the fullness of His Radiance, His Presence and His forgiveness?

If we choose to face our sin head on, it no longer holds power over us. We gain strength from Him by walking with Him in His ways, in His Light, and reading His Word.

Psalms 119:103-105(NLT)
103 How sweet your words taste to me; they are sweeter than honey. 104 Your commandments give me understanding; no wonder I hate every false way of life. 105 Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.

Because we live in a dark world, this is an on going process. It's not a one and done. We are always being transformed by His Light. Until we are with Jesus, we are going to encounter darkness everyday. But if we choose to live in His Presence, we have nothing to fear.

Communication is the key! Talking with God isn't just giving Him a shopping list of all the things you want in your life. It's really more like sharing your life with Him. Talking with Him about your thoughts and your struggles and the joys of life.

Remember we are only seeing life from our perspective. His perspective is quite different. He can help us see things in a different way... from darkness into light. Nothing is impossible with God.

2 Samuel 22:30(NLT)
In your strength I can crush an army; with my God I can scale any wall.

Luke 1:37(NKJV)
For with God nothing will be impossible.

Blessings,
Lori
