Sunday Drive - Trust No Matter What

Sunday Drive - Trust No Matter What

I've always been told that trust is earned not always just given... In my life, God has earned that trust over and over. Not that He ever needed to earn it. His nature is faithfulness and love. He wants us to trust Him no matter what.

Isaiah 58:11(NIV)
The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.

Right now, we are going through something and we are feeling like we are in the desert... and the trial in our life right now is feeling a bit hot. We know there is an oasis in the distance, but we don't know how we're going to get there or how long it will take.

We are trusting that God is going to take care of us. He has always been faithful. We have a history with God, and like I said earlier, God had showed us how faithful He is so many times.

He made us. He knows us intimately. Nothing is hidden from Him. He knows exactly what we need and when we need it.

Psalms 139:14-15(NIV)
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.

God promises to always guide us even if the way is hidden from us. He is holding our hand. We have to trust that He knows where He's leading us. Trusting no matter what, can be hard, but so necessary.

We also have a job to do... don't fight Him. God isn't going to drag you along the path. Are you willing? Are you allowing Him to take you to places unknown?

Psalms 16:11(NIV)
You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

Psalms 119:105(NLT)
Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.

We are sticking close to Jesus. We don't want to wander off the path. We know that path will lead us to the oasis we need. In His Presence is fullness of joy!

The cold of winter won't last forever... it's just a season, spring is around the corner!

Blessings,
Lori
