Sunday Drive - New Beginnings

Sunday Drive - New Beginnings

Wow! I can't believe we are in a new year! Doesn't it always feel like a new beginning? Even though in reality it's just the next day. Yet, I tend to reflect on the last year and look forward to the new one.

In Jesus, every day is a new beginning! The Bible says that His mercies are new every morning.

Lamentations 3:22-23(NLT)
The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. 23 Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.

Each day, we can start over. Often we make mistakes or choices we regret, some come with light or heavy consequences.... But that doesn't change His faithfulness or His goodness.

As we begin this new year, let's keep in mind that every single day, we can start fresh with Jesus. It doesn't really matter what happened yesterday, we can let it go. We can't change the past, we can only change the future.

Nothing can separate us from God's love. We have the choice whether to receive it or not, but no matter what, His grace, love and faithfulness will always remain.

Romans 8:38-39(NLT)

38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I want to keep my walk with Jesus fresh everyday. Everyday I want to open up my heart to Him so that He can fill me, change me and make me more like Him.

His love for us is so full, and deep and constant. It never ends. He wants to be with us everyday.

This is my prayer for you.

Ephesians 3:16-19(NLT)
16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Happy New Year!
Blessings,
Lori
