Sunday Style - The Adventurous Trail

Sunday Style - The Adventurous Trail

Life is like being on an adventurous trail. There are ups and downs, twists and turns. You never really know what's around the bend. The trail is also full of wonders and blessings. We can learn so much along the way. We can grow stronger when the terrain is challenging.

God is fully aware of what's ahead. He is faithful to provide everything we need to cope with all situations and circumstances.

Matthew 6:31-33(NLT)
31 “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ 32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. 33 Seek the Kingdom of God[e] above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

So much time is wasted trying to figure out the future, not that we shouldn't plan at all... but are we walking in trust with The Lord? He has unlimited resources to provide for us.

Proverbs 16:9 (NKJV)
A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.

He wants to help us on this adventurous trail. He wants us to make wise decisions. He wants to direct our steps, because He knows what's up ahead.

Sometimes, I want to act like a child that thinks they know where they are going and wants to do it by themselves. I let go of His hand and run ahead not really thinking about what's next. Then I find myself in a predicament I wasn't prepared for and turn and look around for my Father... Help! He's right there, patiently waiting for me to grasp His strong and steady hand.

I'm so thankful He's patient, full of mercy and grace every single day of the journey we are on.

Lamentations 3:22-24 (NLT)
22 The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. 23 Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. 24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!”

Blessings!
