Sunday Style Over 50 - Learning To Enjoy Life More

I am really enjoying dresses this summer!

I found two great deals at.... you guessed it... Ross Dress For Less!  They were both on clearance for about $10 each.  Such a great bargain, right?  This one was a tad big, but with a little sewing here and there, it fits perfect! 😊

Today, I want to chat about Learning To Enjoy Life More.

This year has been so up and so down.  People's emotions have been all over the place....  I know mine has at times.

Yet, this is where we are... Living in a crazy time.  So, let's learn to enjoy what we can!  We can't change this world, but we can change our attitude.  We can change how we choose to look at things and how we will allow them to affect us.

I'm thinking, maybe we should just RELAX a little!  This verse comforts me so much, and reminds me that He is constant, and always the same.

Hebrews 1:8 (NLT) Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

When we enjoy this wonderful life He's given us with childlike delight, we begin to see the blessings and begin to savor them.  That turns into trust, trusting in Him, then we can actually start to relax and enjoy this beautiful life.

Matthew 1:23 (NLT)“Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us.’”

When we focus on that fact that God is always with us, we can relax even more.  Why do we struggle, worrying so much?  It might be because we aren't trusting in Him enough.

This is one of my favorite verses!

Joshua 1:9 (NLT)
This is my command — be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Just knowing that God is with us, and that He's with us wherever we go... Gives me such peace, that I can let it 'all' go and relax.  I remind myself that He's got this.  He's got me!  He's got the entire situation!  Right??

Revelations 1:8 (NLT)
“I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”

Nothing in this world is new to Him.  He's seen it all before, He knows what's next, and none of it takes Him by surprise.

Let's stop the struggle, and start enjoying life more.  You might have to look a little harder for the blessings... but I guarantee they are there!  Because He is always there!!

James 1:17 (TPT)
Every gift God freely gives us is good and perfect, streaming down from the Father of lights, who shines from the heavens with no hidden shadow or darkness and is never subject to change.

Blessings!
