A Stroll Down Stonybrook Lane

I took my phone with me on my walk this morning.
I usually don’t because one, I don’t like it in my pocket
and second, I don’t like to be interrupted on my walk.

But it was sooo gorgeous I just had to share my walk with you!

This is what I woke up to….

I have to say, I just LOVE where we live!
Can’t you just sense the peace here?

Walking is just one of the things I do
to try and stay in shape.
I also love Jillian Michael’s Shred and Ripped DVDs.
I must do them also.
I’ve noticed as the years have continue on
the warranty on this girl is going out!
I have had shoulder issues, elbow issues,
knee issues, back issues…..
I’m full of issues….
So, I have found that if I continue to do strength exercises
I seem to have less issues…
That’s why I MUST try to stay in shape.

I usually start walking earlier in the year, but I’m a little behind.
I started about a week ago.
I’m a baby and I need the weather to be a bit warmer in the morning.
I don’t want to FREEZE!
I wore shorts and a t-shirt this morning
and I probably should have brought a hoodie with me...

My first walk this year, I went all out full force.
And did I pay for it!  I had shin splints for at least a week!
I could barely walk!
The next few I took it a little easier and now I’m fine, Yay!
I probably shouldn’t have started out with my usual power walk.  Oh, well.

I start out leisurely down Stonybrook Lane, and this what I see.

Our community still isn’t completely built up yet, I kinda am enjoying it.

I live in a pretty rural area,

well, it’s considered "the country"…
compared to where I grew up!

The corn is planted in the fields and I can’t believe how fast it is growing!

The walk I take is breathtaking.  I am reminded each time of God’s beauty.
His mercy and grace is evident to me each day.

As I go around a bend, I’m greeting with the sound of birds
and this small creek gurgling.

One of the things, I love about where I live, is how green it is in summer!

Are you seeing this? Beautiful!

Then I pass by this house….

I don’t know who lives here,
but are you seeing the Darth Vader resemblance?
I sometimes get the feeling that storm troopers are going to come out
and surround me… :D
It just cracks me up!

Well, I’m just going to wrap this up with a few more pics.

I hope you enjoyed the walk with me.
Walking clears my mind and
it gives me free time to talk to my Lord.
I have so much to be thankful for and usually so much to pray about.
The best part for me is just being quiet and enjoying His creation.

Then when I see this…
home sweet home

it’s time to grab a cup of coffee and take a breather…

  1. You live in a wonderful place. Would love to find a place like that when Hubby retires.
