Spring Time Mantel…..

I am so excited about this mantel!  I’ve had a mantel for about a year, and this is first spring display I’ve done! Plus I’m linking it up at Spring Fling Link Party over at Layla’s TheLettered Cottage.  She’s hosting Spring Mantels.

I’ll give it to you piece by piece!

I painted the picture frame and downloaded this spring subway art, and for the LIFE of me I can’t remember where I got the source…. Arg… why didn’t I save the site? Sorry, to whoever didn’t get the credit they deserve… And for some reason it looks like there is a WRINKLE in it but there isn't!
Lighting, shadows, etc....

Then of course you met the “little lovelies” from
 I think I’m Twitterpated!
I’ve received such wonderful comments about these!  Plus it inspired some to make them for themselves! Yay!  That’s what this bloggy thing is all about.

Here is the SpringPizza Tray that I did in February!
Cheap only $1 from the Dollar Tree.

Plus here's a close up of my little birdy friend.
Isn't that the most adorable face you've ever seen??

Some beautiful peonies from that I had in my stash,
and the little pots were in that same stash…

I went to AC Moore and picked up some forsythia branches.
I sooo wish I had some real ones,
but we haven’t actually done much in the landscaping department yet.
So, one or more will definitely be going in the backyard.
When they bloom it’s officially spring to me!

Then lastly I spray painted the candlestick holder on the end blue!
Loving the green and blue…

Then there you have it all put together….

I am sooo happy with the way it turned out!
You know it’s really hard to take a picture of your mantel when you have a huge mirror on it.  I kept finding my hand or camera in the pic…..

Now that the mantel is done, I really need to start working on the office again….
Oh and that huge mess in the basement…ugh…
The office sounds like more fun!
There has been kind of a legitimate reason I haven’t been working on the office,
but more on that later…

  2. Lori,
I think your springtime mantel/shelf is one of the best I've seen so far! It's full of life and colors that pop -- much like the season.
    Happy Spring!
