Is It A Coincidence?

Merriam -Webster Dictionary defines a coincidence as an occurrence of events that happen at the same time by accident but seem to have a connection.

Hmmm... Just by accident? I'd like to think of coincidences as God appointments. Especially when you clearly see the hand of God working through the "coincidence".  Isn't it amazing how God works?

Jeremiah 29:13 (NLT)
13 If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.

I'm sure that many of you reading this, can attest to experiencing God appointments in your life.

Think about this... With all the billions of people in this world, God is working specifically in each one. He's not overwhelmed, too busy, too tired... too anything. The orchestration is amazing! He takes time to speak to each of us in specific and personal ways.

Matthew 10:29 (NLT)
29 What is the price of two sparrows—one copper coin[a]? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it.

If God is aware of a single sparrow, how much MORE is He aware of all the intricacies of your life.

The next question is....Are you on the lookout? I want to stay alert and find all the ways God is working in the details of my life. We are never separated from The Lord, and in His presence there is fullness of joy. In fact, our joy is completely independent of our circumstances. Whether life is going well or not, God is still here with us, moving and directing our lives.

Psalms 16:11 (NLT)
11 You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.

God is working in all of the subtleties in your life. Look for them, they are there! Things that only you would notice. They are specifically just for you. It's like seeing God smile on you and giving you a hug. Look and listen, you will find them.

John 10:27-28 (NLT)
27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me,

Filling our days with scripture and worship remind us of God's presence. Soak it up and get ready for a few "coincidences" to happen.

Blessings,
Lori
