Sunday Drive - The Path of Life

The Path of Life

Life is hard to navigate sometimes. We all need wisdom from The Lord for knowledge and direction. All we have to do is ask.

James 1:5 (NLT)
5 If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you.

God wants to lead us in the ways of wisdom and direct us to straight paths. Sometimes the path of our life can feel like those switchbacks on a mountain road. Never knowing how tight the next curve will be. Those paths can be a little scary at times not knowing what's around the next bend.

But with God, He goes before you, behind you and is all around you. He can lead you to those straight paths. God is the best guide imaginable in this life! We can learn truth and apply that knowledge to our lives. He is truth! When we are following Jesus, we have nothing to fear!

Deuteronomy 31:8 (NLT)
8 Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.”

Proverbs 4:11 (NLT)
11 I will teach you wisdom’s ways and lead you in straight paths.

I encourage you to study the Word of God. The Word of God will guide you and lead you into ways of wisdom. When we fill our minds with His Truth and wisdom we grow, we see things differently, we become more confident in Christ. Knowing that He will get us through.

John 14:6 (NLT)
6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

Christ is the way to those straight paths... Look for them and follow. Now, there's no guarantee that those straight paths will be easy. However, Jesus promises to be with you always. Jesus will give you the strength, confidence and security that you need to stay on that path.

At times, you will look back on the road you've covered and be shocked at how far you've come and how treacherous the road was. Wondering how you were able to make it so far. Then you realize it wasn't you... it was Jesus. Keeping your eyes were on Him was what brought you through.

He has been there all along, protecting you, guiding you along the path. He is always with us!

Blessings,
Lori
