Sunday Drive - Recycling

Sunday Drive - Recycling

Recycling means the action or process of converting waste into reusable material. God is able to take all of our mistakes and recycle them into something usable and good. He not only converts our mistakes but He can transform them with His grace into something beautiful. Do you believe this?

Psalm 103:12-14(NLT)
10 He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve. 11 For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. 12 He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west. 13 The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him. 14 For he knows how weak we are; he remembers we are only dust.

The Lord knows us so intimately. He knows that we are only human, that we are weak. That's why He made a way for us to recycle our lives.

We all have made mistakes and we all have regrets, but we can't get trapped into rehashing it over and over beating ourselves up. We can't undo what's happened. But we can take our mistakes and let The Father recycle them. That's what He does best! He forgives us, now we need to move on and forgive ourselves.

Ephesians 1:7-8(NLT)
7 He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. 8 He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.

Yes, there may be consequences from those mistakes, but I believe that The Lord can use them to mold us and transform us. Don't fight it, even if the process is hard. He has great plans for us!

Think about a plastic water bottle that is being recycled. It is crushed, melted, stretched in order to make something new.

2 Corinthians 3:18(NLT)
18 So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.

Did you know that plastic bottles can be recycled into clothing, shoes, beautiful rugs, blankets, exercise mats, backpacks or back into another plastic bottle.

What you think is trash in your life can always be recycled into something usable and beautiful. God sees in you all you can be and He has the very best plan for you!

Blessings,
Lori
