Sunday Drive - Living Free

Sunday Drive - Living Free

We were down in Virginia visiting our daughter and family. Our beautiful little granddaughter has no problem living free! It was such a joy to watch her experience life with such freedom. ( I just love this picture of her and Papa!)

Living free is our birthright as a believer in Christ!

Romans 8:1-2(NKJV)
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

I wish I was as free as my granddaughter, but I have 50+ years under my belt and I have fallen into the trap of listening to all the voices of this world. It has confused me at times and led me down paths I did not need to be on, even as a believer...

What is living free? For me it's mostly, keeping my mind free! There are so many 'voices' in this world telling you what to think, what to do, what to say, what to look like, on and on and on. It's like this never ending pit, where they just keep piling all this stuff on you. It's suffocating and so confusing.

Even Christian voices and lead me astray, I need to only hear one voice. The voice of my Father.

Isaiah 30:21(NLT)
Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.

Lord, help me tune out the world and tune into Your voice.

John 10:27(NLT)
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

Listening to the voice of The Father, is the key to living free. I can trust in Him completely to take care of me and my needs. He knows me and wants the very best for me.

Blessings,
Lori

  2. I loved the verses you shared today. They remind me of just what you said. There is only one voice to listen to. Amen. I loved your picture also. There is something about one so young and little holding the hand of one some big and tall. I also live in VA. Have a blessed day.
