Sunday Style - Who's Really In Charge?

Sunday Style - Who's Really In Charge?

Who's really in charge? This is a great question to ask yourself, because it will remind you who holds the entire world in His hands.

Isaiah 40:12-14(NLT)
12 Who else has held the oceans in his hand? Who has measured off the heavens with his fingers? Who else knows the weight of the earth or has weighed the mountains and hills on a scale?
13 Who is able to advise the Spirit of the Lord? Who knows enough to give him advice or teach him?
14 Has the Lord ever needed anyone’s advice? Does he need instruction about what is good? Did someone teach him what is right or show him the path of justice?
15 No, for all the nations of the world are but a drop in the bucket. They are nothing more than dust on the scales. He picks up the whole earth as though it were a grain of sand.

God is fully aware of all things. He is not taken by surprise. He isn't worried, scared or shaken by the current events of today.

Revelations 1:8 (NLT)
8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”

Sometimes, I need to remind myself that God is here in the present, He was always in the past, and will always be in the future. He knows all about everything all the time!

So when I read scriptures, like the one below, it builds my faith and encourages me. Peace floods my mind, heart and soul.

Hebrews 11:1-3 (NLT)
Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. 2 Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation. 3 By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.

In this crazy time, I want to stand firm. Like the tree planted by the waters, with my roots dug in deep. I choose to believe that God will take care of me. He is completely capable to take care of you! We just need to trust and believe.

Jeremiah 7: 7-8 (NLT)
But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. 8 They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.

I choose not to be 'bothered by the heat' of our world or 'worried by the months of drought'.  I trust you get my meaning... I choose to continue producing fruit.

Hebrews 10:23 (NLT)
Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.

Amen! God can be trusted! He is truly in charge of all things!

Be blessed!
