Sunday Style - Stop, Slow Down & Recharge

Sunday Style - Stop, Slow Down & Recharge

Isn't this sunrise just gorgeous? I snapped this on our last day of vacation at Myrtle beach. It was so relaxing.

Everyone needs to stop, slow down and recharge. That's what we did on this vacation. We weren't made to keep going and going at a frantic pace.

Hubby and I were enjoying this very sunrise and talking about how it just feels so good to see and hear the waves come in one after another. They never tire, they never stop. That reminds me of the love of God.

Lamentations 3:22-23(NLT)
The faithful love of the Lord never ends. His mercies never cease. 23 Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.

Watching the sunrise reminds me of God's faithfulness. The sun will always rise, every single morning, in all it's glory!

Psalms 111:89-90(NLT)
Your eternal word, O Lord, stands firm in heaven. 90 Your faithfulness extends to every generation, as enduring as the earth you created.

Feeling the sand under my feet, so many grains of sand. Can it ever be counted? Like the hairs on our head, He's counted every one.

Luke 12:7(NLT)
7 And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.

Think about that verse. Knowing that I am so valuable to God gives me such peace. Why would I worry and fret? He is in control of all things!

It was so nice to stop, slow down and recharge. We both needed a break from the busyness. On most Sundays, we try to keep the same idea. We start with our church service, and then in the afternoon we relax and recharge for the week. We need to recharge not only our bodies, but our spirits.

Spending time with our savior, relishing His love, grace and mercy. Take a deep breath and take it in. Remember how much He cares for you.

1 Peter 5:7(NLT)
7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

Blessings,
Lori
