Sunday Drive - When Fear Paralyzes

Sunday Drive - When Fear Paralyzes

Sometimes fear can be so strong it paralyzes you. It can keep you from pursuing anything new and unfamiliar. We can all be intimidated, but we can't allow that to grow into fear.

The enemy would like nothing more than to keep you in a state of fear. That is not the life our heavenly Father wants for us. He died to set us free!

Christ died to open a path straight to the Father's heart. Where there is love freely flowing from Him. When you are enveloped in His love there is no place for fear.

1 John 4:18 (NIV)
18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

We live in a fallen world, so it isn't always easy to break free from fear. Even if it isn't easy,  it is possible, because The Lord wants us to be free! He makes it possible because He adopted us. We are God's children.

Do you see yourself as a much loved child of God? We can cry out to our Father, believing we are His precious treasure.

Romans 8:15 (NLT)
15 So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”

We don't have to be afraid anymore, not in the loving arms of our Savior. That is where you are the safest. Bring your fears to Him. Let Him hold you close to His heart.

Everyday continue to open your heart to Him. As you do, your heart will be filled with more and more love. The more love you fill in your heart, the less room there is for fear.

Now that you have filled your heart with love and driven out fear, let's pursue some of those dreams!

John 15:9 (NIV)
9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.
