Feeling Distant?
First of all remember feelings are not necessarily truth. We can experience a lot of feelings... It's important to take some time and examine those feelings and determine what is truth and what is not. God's word is truth.
If you are feeling distant from The Lord, do you think that The Lord would leave you? Absolutely not! He is always with us and for us. He is our constant companion.
Genesis 28:15 (NLT)
15 What’s more, I am with you, and I will protect you
wherever you go.
The real question here, is whether you are with Him and for Him. Have you 'left' him. We can ignore Him, thinking or acting like He's not there with us. Going about our day without connecting with our Lord. We get too busy or caught up in life and God goes on the back burner. It's not hard. We've all found ourselves there at one time or another.
The key is to not STAY there. God is for us! He wants us to be close to Him. He's always present.
Romans 8:31 (NLT)
31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
Hebrews 13:8 (NLT)
8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Yes! He is the same yesterday, today and forever! We are the ones that keep changing... letting the circumstances of life toss us about. We need to firmly stand on the Rock of our salvation.
Psalms 18:2 (NLT)
2 The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior;
my God is my rock, in whom I find protection.
He is my shield, the power that saves me,
and my place of safety.
Open your heart to Jesus. Call on Him and tell Him you are feeling distant. Whisper His Name. Then prepare to receive His love.... unconditional and abundant flowing over you. He wants to fill your days with His presence. Continue to keep yourself open to Him. He will help you. He will strengthen you. He is with you and for you!
Isaiah 41:10 (NLT)
10 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
