Proclaim God's Love & Faithfulness
To proclaim means: To declare something one considers important with due emphasis.
It is a wonderful thing to proclaim His unfailing love, especially when you rise in the morning and then again when your head hits the pillow. There is something so fulfilling when you count your blessings.
Now, it might not be a good idea to proclaim loudly when your spouse or children are sleeping, but you can proclaim just as loudly in your mind.
Psalms 92:1-2 (NLT)
1 It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
to sing praises to the Most High.
2 It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning,
your faithfulness in the evening,
Proclaiming His love and faithfulness is a good exercise for your heart, soul and mind. It strengthens your faith and encourages your walk with Jesus. It's amazing how as you do this more and more, you are filled with an incredible joy and love!
1 Peter 1:8 (NLT)
8 You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy.
Think about all the different facets of God's love... it never stops, it never gives up, it goes on and on forever, it is priceless, the ultimate sacrifice. His love for us is so bright it shines throughout your darkest day.
When we proclaim is love in the morning, we are setting ourselves up for a good day. It doesn't mean that everything will go the way we want, but it does mean that we have proclaimed that God loves us so much that He will get us through the day! Amen!
Psalms 36:5-7 (NLT)
5 Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds.
6 Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains,
your justice like the ocean depths.
You care for people and animals alike, O Lord.
7 How precious is your unfailing love, O God!
All humanity finds shelter
in the shadow of your wings.
Then at the end of the day, it's important to take a moment to reflect. To look back over your day and see the Hand of God. To take note of how He helped you and held you throughout the day. When we have especially hard days, He is there. He gets you through. He is so incredibly faithful!
Voice those things to The Lord, (I do this in my mind.)It's a great way to end the day and fall asleep. I love counting my blessings from the day as I go to sleep at night. Thanking God for His goodness to me.
Psalms 4:8 (NLT)
8 In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.
Blessings,
Lori
