Seriously, this is one of the easiest planters I have EVER done! I've tried the method of using wire mesh. I even did a post on it... Granted it came out beautiful, but this was so much easier!!
First, I got out my supplies. The planter I was going to use. My faux greens and flowers and some pool noodles.
I slightly underestimated how many pool noodles I thought I would need. I purchased 2. Well, that didn't get me very far. I purchased mine at the Dollar Tree. Yes, I know it isn't summer season now, but they have Christmas colored ones. So, you should be in luck!
I happened to be in Walmart and picked up 5 more. I only ended up using a total of 5. I'll save the rest for another project... or boot supports.
You'll also notice, I put rocks/broken concrete pieces in the bottom of my planter. This planter is pretty lightweight and I didn't want it to blow over in a storm.
Pool noodles are super easy to cut with a pair of scissors. So, I just stuck it in the planter, then cut and stuffed. Like I said, super easy!
If this project isn't easy enough, I have some more easy coming your way...
I literally grabbed a bunch of greens and stuffed them in. The pool noodles make the stems stand straight. They don't wobble when you stuff them in. I love that!
Then I added more greens.
Lastly, I popped in a big bunch of mums, I found at Hobby Lobby. I stuffed it in the middle and kind of spread them out a bit.
I had a few other flowers, I had on hand. A couple of mini mums, some sunflowers, and these long flowy purple flowers.
That's pretty much it. I still can't believe how easy that was to make!
No watering, no deadheading, no worries! That's my kind of planter!
Blessings!
