Sunday Drive - Unconditional Love

Sunday Drive - Unconditional Love

The love of the Father is not based on how you act, or how you look, or whether you are rich or poor. He loves because you are His child. Because you are precious to Him.

Ephesians 3:18-19 (NLT)
18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

That verse is so very powerful! Do we realize how much God loves us? I don't think so! It is too great to fully understand! There is no end to His love.

Maybe what we need to do is just sit and bask in that love. Let that unconditional love flow over and through us and soak it in.

Sometimes that might be hard to do with all of the distractions and stuff going on in our lives. Plus all of the terrible things that are going on in our world.... it can be so overwhelming, but it does not overwhelm God! Even if it seems like this world is out of control, it is not. He is still in control. No matter how difficult it is to understand, we must continue to trust in Him. He is our hope!!

His love has and always will conquer evil. He will right all the wrongs. I will continue to pray for our world.

We need to find and take the time to refresh our minds and souls in His love and remind ourselves who we are in Christ. We are His children, who are loved by our Father.

1 John 3:1 (NLT)
See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.

Did you know He sings over us? Read the next verse. It says He rejoices over us with joyful songs! I'm blown away by how much He loves us.

Zephaniah 3:17 (NLT)
17 For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.

So, because of His great love for us, we can come to Him with all of our needs, all of our troubles, all of the things that are weighing on us. He completely knows and understands it all. We can completely trust Him to take care of us.

Hebrews 4:16 (NLT)
16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

That doesn't mean that it will be easy. That also doesn't mean that we will get what we want. It does mean that He will make a way when there doesn't seem to be a way. It means that He has our back. It means that we continue moving forward, trusting that He is lighting our path.

His unconditional love will never stop, never run out, never get distracted. It is and always will be.

Isaiah 54:10 (NLT)
10 For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken,” says the Lord, who has mercy on you.

Blessings,
Lori
