Sunday Drive - His Compassions Never Fail

His Compassions Never Fail

Lamentations 3:22-24 (NIV)
22 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. 24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”

The faithful love of The Lord never ends!

I looked up what compassion means. Compassion means the capacity for sharing the painful feelings of another with an urgent desire to aid. A caring response to someone else's distress with a desire to relieve that person's distress.

Yes! That is what our Lord Jesus does! His compassions never fail! I can begin each day with confidence that the fountain of the Lord's blessings is full to the brim. Knowing this helps me, especially when I'm going through hard times.

From time to time we are all going to need that compassion that never fails.

I am confident that He hears every one of our prayers. Don't give up hope! It also helps me pray confidently for others that are struggling. In His perfect timing, I believe that every single one will be answered.

I'm still waiting for prayers to be answered. Believe me, the waiting is the hard part.... But... God gives us peace in the waiting. We can trust Him. He knows what's best.

John 14:27 (NLT)
27 “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

He is a good God with good plans for us! He knows all things and knows the perfect time for our blessings and when to answer our prayers. Trust in Him. He's got everything under control.

Isaiah 30:18 (NLT)
18 So the Lord must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion. For the Lord is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for his help.

Over and over again in my life, I have seen the perfect timing of God. He's never early, never late, but always perfectly on time. He doesn't forget.  However, that doesn't mean I won't keep asking. I will continue praying confidently, not because God needs reminding, but because I do. I need to continue to have compassion and pray and wait and grow. God's got me and God's got you.

Say to yourself, "The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!” (Lamentations 3:24)

Blessings,
Lori
