Building Skills 101- Bench Project

This has been the one of the biggest stretches for me, yet one of the most fulfilling!  I never dreamed that I'd be teaching a class about building.

Building Skills 101- Bench Project

This little bench was so much fun to make.  It's very basic, just using 2x4s.

Materials provided:

4 - cut at 16.5"
4 - cut at 8"
3 - cut at 30"

This was a very simple project.

First they created the leg 'boxes'.

They clamped and screwed the pieces together.  This was so cool, because some of them had never even used a drill. 😊

I had the ladies work in teams to help each other.  They were all such a delight to work with!

Then each person cut their bench top boards with the chop saw - 3 boards at 30" long.

Then they clamped and screwed the top to the leg boxes.

They all worked so hard and completed their benches!  What a great group to work with!

I've already had another class since this one and I can't wait to share that one with you!

Blessings!
