(My) Fashion Over 40 ~ Gettin A Little Chilly

I've been fighting fall. I really enjoyed summer, and I kinda didn't want to let go. But there's no use fighting it, it's coming whether I like it or not.  So, I caved.....  I started bringing up my fall decor and I started a fall craft. :)

This Sunday, it was a bit chilly, so I broke out the jeans.... and a sweater!

I really like these jeans.  They are Levi straight leg I bought at JC Penny's.  It's hard to find a good fitting pair of jeans, and for me it's all about length.  I have long legs and finding jeans that aren't too short is hard.  I usually need a "long"in my size.

The top is new. Actually, I've had it for months, but haven't worn it.  To me it's kinda fallish.  It was a Ross find during a shopping trip when my daughter was home from college.  She picked it out.  This wouldn't have been a normal choice for me. The colors are a bit neutral for my taste. But she talked me into it and I liking it more and more. Add some leopard flats and a black cardigan and we're done!

This week at church, was a different service.  The power of God was profound.  God had a different plan for that day.  People were prayed for, we worshipped. Our pastor didn't even preach his sermon. It's important that we are always willing to allow God to have His way.  It might not be what we expect, but we need to trust Him.

Isaiah 55:8-9 (NLT)
"My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts," says the Lord. "And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts."

Blessings,
