(My) Fashion Over 40 ~ Be at Peace, Be Blameless, He Is Faithful!

Has the weather been gorgeous where you are?
Well, it has been unbelievably beautiful here in central Pennsylvania!

Fashion Over 40

This dress is far from new... It's at least 5+ years old.
But look how great it's held up!
If you find a jersey knit dress it will last you a long time.  The fabric is so comfortable and holds up to washing and never needs ironing.
Wrap dresses are usually flattering to the figure too!  I usually wear a cami under it, I prefer to be bit more modest.

What's also nice about a dress like this, is you can tame it down and wear it with flip flops, or dress it up with more jewelry.

This week our Pastor continued in 1 Thessalonians.

1 Thessalonians 5:23-28
23Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. 24 God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful.
25 Dear brothers and sisters, pray for us.
26 Greet all the brothers and sisters with Christian love.
27 I command you in the name of the Lord to read this letter to all the brothers and sisters.
28 May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

Be at peace.
Christ wants us to have peace.  He wants us to know the God of Peace.
Because He has overcome the world, we can overcome the world!
We can have peace in every situation!

Peace is a confident assurance, it doesn't mean that the problems of life are gone.  He is there with us, through it all.

Be blameless.
We have been set free from sin.   He cleanses and forgives us.  But let's not forget where we came from, what we were like, what God saved us from.

I want to keep an open heart to Him so that Christ can continue to work in me.
Our spirit, soul and body, He wants all of us, not just a part.

He is faithful.
He is working in us.
Take a look at your life, not just the last week, but the last 5-10 years.  Most likely you are not the same person you were 10 years ago. I'm thankful for the work Christ has done in me.  There's still quite a bit more to do, but I know and trust in Him.
He will do, what He says He will do!

Philippians 1:5,6(NIV)
because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Deuteronomy 7:9(NLT)
Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.

1 Corinthians 10:13(NLT)
13 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

Be Blessed!
