(My) Fashion Over 40 ~Trust In The Lord

As I'm typing this, I refuse to acknowledge that it is snowing outside....
I mean really?
We are in March!
I am really done with snow.
Oh, well. (Long tired s i g h...)

Anyway, I'm determined to think spring!
So, I have started to break out some bright colors!
(I'm looking outside, just knowing it's going to snow.)

Fashion Over 40

Orange is one of my favorite colors!
I just picked this cardigan up at Target on clearance for $9.98! The creamy white sweater was another bargain a couple of years ago at Wally world.
And that necklace just pulled it all together.
I found that at Kohl's forever ago on clearance.  Every time I go into Kohl's I have to check out their clearance jewelry.

I may have a clearance problem! I just can't stand to pay full price for anything! My daughter and I were talking about this just last week! We were shopping for some professional interview clothes for her.  There's just some sort of satisfaction that I get from buying an item on clearance!

Anyway...it was my turn to work in nursery, so I like to go comfy and wear jeans and flats.
You can't see them, but I have a goldish pair of flats on.
I still can't believe it, but there wasn't one baby there! That hardly EVER happens, so I was able to sneak back into service and hear our associate Pastor speak.

He was speaking on not leaning on your own understanding.
Do you know that verse?

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

Another verse Pastor mentioned.

My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts, says the Lord.  And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. Isaiah 55:8

He spoke of learning to hear the voice of God.  Everything that pops into our head is not God speaking to us.
We need to spend time with Him and learn His voice.

His ways are not our ways....
Some of the things we go through might not make any sense to us, but it all makes sense to our Lord.  The Lord allows us to be tested, so we can grow, He knows what is best for us.

We need to stop trying to understand the "why".  That's where we have to trust in Him, and to lean not on our own human understanding.
He is faithful to bring us through,
to the great things He has in store for us. Amen!

Have a blessed day!
