Salsa Garden Update

I can’t believe this is the last day of June already??!!

Is this summer whizzing past or what??

I thought you all might want to see how my Salsa Garden is doing.

Life at the Stonybrook House has been pretty busy.

My daughter is gearing up for a missions trip for 3 weeks and we have also been busy at the apartments, 
(where I believe I am seeing a light at the end of the tunnel).

But all of that has not stopped my garden from growing!

I think it’s growing great!

Out of Necessity!{Necklace Organizer}

This is what happens to me…. I can look at a mess for months!  It never really bothers me.  Then one day…. Bada Bing!  I can’t take another day of looking at it.  I MUST take care of that ASAP!  What is that?  Weird, huh?

So, here we go with another one of those projects that is totally not on the list of potential projects or things to get done… But if you know me, I'm going to add it just so I can cross it off.  :)  It's a Lister thing.

You would be proud of me though, I have worked on the basement.  Not necessarily in my rat pack area, but I’ve clean out a lot of the rest of the basement….  

In throwing things out and trips the local mission, I came across this. It’s been in the basement for years, as you can tell from the cobwebs and layer of dust.  I was going to donate it.

Now, I'm getting ready to leave.

No wonder I've been a basket case lately....

Well, there's been a TON of stuff going on around here!!

I know that I'm going to meet so many amazing people!

I know that I'm going to learn so much!

I know I'm going to have the time of my life!

I know, I know, I know!

So why am I so nervous???

Probably fear of the UNKNOWN!!

I just need to take a deep breath and relax!

One of the ladies going did a post on 25 things about herself. I thought that was kinda neat.  So, here goes... Can I even think of 25 "interesting" things about myself.... We'll see

I’m Having a Love Affair….{DIY Bench Makeover}

...with the one thing I’ve done to this house

that I actually LOVE!

My poor ole bench has gone from

drab to FAB!

Yes, I’m finally going to post about something I did for the office!

I survived yesterday after I found out that all of my pics for this

fantabulous bench did a disappearing magic trick on me….

I needed a break! So, I went to one of the biggest malls around

 my little podunk town, about and hour away, 

where they have an Apple Store.

I dunked my iphone about a month or so ago

 and it actually worked fine except for the sound.

It was sporadic at best and I couldn’t play music through the speakers.

I thought, I’ll just have them check it out and see what can be done.

Well, surprisingly no water damage was detected.

They gave me a new phone! Can you say AWESOME!!

Well, that made my day!

No more Miss grumpy pants here!

Only wish I had done it earlier!

So now on to the reveal…..

Here we have a “orangey wood” bench dejected and doomed to the basement. 

But now in the garage for it's makeover.

WHAT??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME????

FRUSTRATION!!

I was so incredibly excited to share with you all

 about my drab to fab bench

 and new bench cushion, that I made!

…. I took the time to take a bajillion pics and

when I put the SD card in my Mac they were NO WHERE to be found!

WHAT??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? NOOOOO!!!!!

So, here’s what happened…..

My son had asked me to “document” him and his friend building their new computers, which was quite interesting and entertaining. 

It was a lot of fun playing photographer! 

I had pics of them putting their CPU’s in

and their ram on the motherboard then putting all of it together. 

I have to say they built some massive computer beasts!!

A Stroll Down Stonybrook Lane

I took my phone with me on my walk this morning. 

I usually don’t because one, I don’t like it in my pocket

and second, I don’t like to be interrupted on my walk.

But it was sooo gorgeous I just had to share my walk with you!
