Mulching Maniacs

Update!!
I'm still here....
Working like crazy...enjoying every minute.
Well, most of them....
I want to show you all how much progress we've made.
I must include hubby on this, because he helped me soooo much!  He brought wheelbarrow after wheelbarrow of mulch and I did the spreading.
We make and AWESOME team!
Here's a sneak peak...
Now isn't that more welcoming?
I planted a light pink ground cover phlox and in the background I split a large mum from the garden by the streetlight.
Much better than this...
Ugh.... so embarrassing...

First, I planted the Rhododendrons.
They haven't bloomed yet, but they are going to be a bright red.
Can you say, Gorgeous!
I planted two on each side of the porch under the windows.
FYI.... little side note.... I think I have the rockiest "soil" in AMERICA!!!
Well, I'll drop it down to Pennsylvania.  Rock after rock after rock... ugh!
Here's the other side and my mini mountain of mulch!

But now look at that mountain.... I'm going to have to order more!

Wow!  That looks so much better.  Don't you think?
Before:
  After:
We also mulched in front of the garage.
I moved the golden mop heads from the garden by the streetlight.
( I don't know their official name, they look like mop heads to me)
See them?  I moved them here...
It looks so nice!  I can't believe how wonderful it looks!
I'm no longer an embarrassment! Yay!
Well, except for this....
I'm going for a whole new look... Not this look though.
It's still a work in progress...

And look who kept me company for most of the time...
My brother's dog, Rocky.
He's so funny with that big 'ol stick!

Ahhh!!!
What a difference!  Still more work to be done,
but I see the light at the end of the tunnel!
And, No! it isn't a freight train coming at me...
Good Lord, I hope not!

Thanks for stopping by...
